Eric H. Shen, MD received his Bachelor of Science degree from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio in 1995 and his medical degree from UMDNJ – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Piscataway, New Jersey in 1999. An internship and residency was completed at UMDNJ – Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ (1999 – 2002).
A Gastroenterology Fellowship was completed at UMDNJ – Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ (2002 – 2005). He then joined the faculty at UMDNJ – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School as an Assistant Professor of Medicine from 2005 – 2008.
From September 2008 to August 2011 Dr. Shen was a Staff Gastroenterologist at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro.
Dr. Shen has been board certified in Internal Medicine since 2002 and board certified in Gastroenterology since 2005.
He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American College of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Shen joined Princeton Medical Group in August, 2011 and he is an attending physician at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
He is proficient in many advanced procedures including ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound, enteral stenting and other therapeutic techniques.
